New Consumer Rights Act

What does this mean?

As of the 1st October 2015, the new Consumer Rights Act became law, replacing and updating the sale of goods act. The Consumer Rights Act says that goods
  • must be of satisfactory quality, based on what a reasonable person would expect, taking into account the price
  • must be fit for purpose. If the consumer has a particular purpose in mind, he or she should make that clear
  • must meet the expectations of the consumer
This provides added protection for the consumer and is welcomed by SJN Motors and we will be fully compliant with the letter and spirit of the new law. This means that you can buy with complete confidence knowing that should the unexpected happen, you have a powerful new law and a fully compliant trader in SJN Motors.
